My Thanks To You All
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for participating in Save the Bilby Fund's "Face The Challenge" Endangered Species Crossword Puzzle Competition in 2007. I received feedback from many teachers and parents stating that your students and children enjoyed researching to find the answers, and learnt a little more about the unique species that we share this great country with.

The competition was a great success thanks to all who participated. Some of the money which was raised was used to help fund a Polaris quad bike to assist researchers in their efforts to try to save the Northern Hairy-nosed Wombat - one of the world's most endangered species. As the wombats live over a large territory, the bike will assist researchers to gather information about this rare species with greater ease. Other funds have gone towards maintaining our bilby captive breeding programs in Charleville. Thanks also to the competition's sponsors including Joanne Johnstone from Planet Press EnviroPrint without whose help, the competition would never have happened.

Great News for Schools
For National Bilby Day 2008 (14th September), we will be running another crossword competition for the older students and a colouring in competition for the younger ones. Keep an eye out for a bilby envelope arriving at your school sometime around June. It will be advertising how your students can win great prizes again this year.

Easter 2008
Please remember this Easter that Darrell Lea is the only chocolate manufacturer which gives money to help save bilbies. Other chocolate manufacturers make chocolate bilbies, but don't care enough to give something back to save this precious animal.
